William Alvin Brewer, 69, a retired truck driver, died Monday, August 24, 2009, at St. Dominic's Hospital, Jackson, Miss. Services will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, at Crossroads Holiness Church in Raleigh. Visitation is available now until the services begin at 3 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service and will be located at the North Raleigh Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee are handling funeral arrangements.
Survivors include: wife, Anna Lafleur Brewer; sons, George Brewer, Crystal Springs, Bennie Jernigan, Keith Jernigan and Hubert Jernigan, Raleigh; daughters, Ann Crowder, Pearl, Patricia Lawrence, D'Iberville, Debbie Harvey, Raleigh, Cynthia Sprauge, Brookhaven, Amanda Reeves, Mendenhall; brothers, David Marlin Brewer, Brandon, Thomas Franklin Brewer, Jackson; sisters, Mildred Huff, Pearl, Mary Alice Shuler, Raymond, Marsha House, Ala., and Marie Brewer, Fla.; twenty-five grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his parents, William Fowler Brewer and Mary Elizabeth McNeil Brewer, brother, James Brewer, daughter Sandra Robertson, and sister Billie Ruth Whitehead.
