DAVID CARLTON BREWER A Mass of Christian Burial for David Carlton, age 59, will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Hubert Kealy celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Houston National Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. David passed away May 26, 2008 from complications of pneumonia in Acapulco, Mexico. David C. Brewer, son of Clinton D. Brewer and the late Alice W. Goodlander, was born on February 4, 1949 in Lockport, New York. As a youth, he was hard working and full of ambition, participating in Boy Scouts and holding down part-time jobs while in school. Determination and achievement were qualities he took pride in and remained part of his character throughout his life. He served 22 years in the United States Army where he earned an associates degree and began his distinguished career as a Physician Assistant. Prior to retiring from the !
military, he attained the rank of CW4, chief warrant officer, and was awarded the meritorious service metal (MSM). Medicine remained an integral part of his life and he was well respected by his peers and the communities in which he practiced. He enjoyed spending time with family and group activities such as bowling, fishing and watching movies. He will be remembered and cherished as a loving father and husband, who lived his life with the best of intentions. He is survived by his wife, Francisca Rosario (Rosie) Brewer; son, David P. Brewer; stepchildren, Leiza M. Francia-Siebert and Zoe J. Garcia; son, Jeffrey D. Brewer and wife Jana; daughter, Diana E. Brewer, from first wife, Linda S. Baker; daughter, Kathryn Anne Brewer; sister, Terry Gibson; brother, John Brewer; three granddaughters, Grace, Evelyn and Sarah; and many nieces and nephews.
