C.H. Brett Of Joplin Dies In New Mexico
Mrs. Margaret Merritt, 619 West Third street , Webb City, has recieved information that her father, Charles Holt Brett, 66 years old, of Joplin, died Sunday night in Socorro, N.M., where he and another daughter, Miss Barbara Brett, were vacationing.
Mr. Brett was born in Fort Collins, Colo., and came to Carthage when a boy, where he was employed by the Carthage Press. He later developed mine holdings near Alba and in the Oklahoma field.
Other survivors are two sons, John F. Brett of Little Rock, Ark,. and Willis Brett of Hinsdale, Ill.

Plan Memorial Service For Holt Brett Friday
Carthage MO., Aug. 16,- Memorial services for Holt Brett of Joplin ho died unexpectedly Monday morning in Socorro, N.M., will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Knell service home. The Rev. A.L. du Domaine, rector of St. Phillip's Episcopal church in Joplin, will conduct the service. The ashes will be placed in the Park Cemetery.
The family request no flowers be sent and asked that the money if friends so desire, be turned over to the Heart fund campaign.
