Aurore M. (Breton) Beaupre, age 101, passed away Dec. 6, 2011 at Schuyler Ridge Health Care Center. She was born on Jan. 31, 1910 in Chicopee, MA, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph G. and Sarah (Dorval) Breton. Aurore resided most of her life in Chicopee, where she was a communicant of the former Assumption Church. A graduate of Chicopee High School, she worked for 12 years as an inspector for the former F.W. Sickles before she retired in 1968. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest Beaupre, who passed away in 1987. After his death, she continued to live in her home until 1997 at which time she moved into The Beverwyck in Slingerlands, NY and later to Delmar Place. Always willing to give a smile to brighten someone's day, she was a favorite with both the residents and the staff. Subsequently, she became a resident at Schuyler Ridge where she continued to appreciate those around her. Aurore leaves her two daughters, Claire Roberson of Bloomington, IN and Anita Stevens and her husband Ken of Clifton Park, NY; six grandchildren, Jennifer Bouleris and her husband Gregory, Sarah Stout and her husband Michael, Thomas Stevens and his wife Jill, Diane Elkins, Judy Wiser and her husband Jeffrey, and James Roberson and his wife Guadalupe; ten great grandchildren, Evan, Cara and Alexandra Bouleris, Kristi and Joseph Elkins, Garrett, Logan, Amelia and Charlotte Wiser and Amber Roberson. She also is predeceased by her brothers Aime, Ernest, Legere, and Joseph Breton and by her sisters Lea Cook, Bernadette Beaupre and Sr. Joseph Bernadette (Yvonne). Calling hours will be held the morning of the funeral on Friday Dec. 9, 2011 from 9:30 -11:00 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Assumption Church, 104 Springfield St, Chicopee at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
