Anna's birth date was taken from the Wittrig family bible. However their is some question on this date. When she was married she didn't know her birth date and thought she was 19 or 20 years old. Their is also some question about who her mother was, as her marriage record states her mother as M. Hershi. There is no record of her father being married 3 times. She was raised by another family after her mother died and stayed with that family even after her father remarried and went to Iowa. She lived her whole life in Canada.
