Audrey Brenneman, 89, of Bittinger, MD, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born March 25, 1925 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Adolph Kampfer and Eleanor (Stein) Kampfer Rankin.

Mrs. Brenneman was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Brenneman, her stepfather, Ian Rankin and her two sisters, Rita and Eleanor.

She was a retired secretary for Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville and a bookkeeper for several businesses in the community. Audrey was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Sunday School for many years and assited in the church office. Also she was a member of the Bittinger Firemen's Auxilary.

Audrey is survived by two sons, James Hetrick & wife, Ann, Oakland and Wayne Brenneman, Bittinger; two grandchildren, Richard Hetrick & Diana Hetrick; four great-grandchildren, Galee Hetrick, Justin Hetrick, Benjamin Hetrick & Timothy Kilgore.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, MD, on Sunday, September 14, 2014, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Services will be conducted at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Monday, September 15, 2014, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Nathan Hall officiating.

Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Garrett County Humane Society, Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Bittinger Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
