She is survived by her children, daughter, Barbara Fox and husband, Bernard, of Falls Church; daughter, Beverly Brennan and partner, Linda Painter, of Makakilo, Hawaii; son, Richard Brennan and wife, Cathy, of Richmond; four grandchildren, Joseph Fox and wife, Jenny, of Silver Spring, Maryland, Courtney Tooley and husband, Michael, Jennifer Brennan and Matthew Brennan, all of Richmond; a great-granddaughter, child of Joseph and Jenny, is due in March. She is also survived by a niece and nephew.
Born in Flushing, N.Y., Mrs. Brennan had resided in Richmond since 1958. Former editor of Virginia Record Magazine and a retired administrative assistant at the Virginia Office of EMS, Mrs. Brennan was also a founding member of the Church of the Epiphany. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, Head Minister, and worked with both the environment and art, and funeral ministries. She was a charter member of the James M. Slay Detachment of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary, and served as their treasurer for many years.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 24 at the Bliley's- Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at the Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Drive, on Monday, January 25, at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Dale Memorial Park. Memorial donations in Mrs. Brennan's name may be made to Elmcroft Assisted Living, Attn: LuAnn Paul, 1000 Twinridge Lane, Richmond, Va. 23235, or the Church of the Epiphany.
