A 1934 graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, he interned at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre an served as medical officer in the Civilian Conservation Corp.
He practiced in Birdsboro until he was called to active duty with the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1941, achieving the rank of Lt. Colonel.
A long career practicing medicine followed.
He also served on the faculties of Georgetown Medical School and George Washington University Medical School.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Dorothea O’Connell who died at the age of 105 1/2 in 2013; two daughters, Carol Brennan Schmitt Efflan and Mary Ellen Brennan Offer; 5 granddaughters sister Helen Brennan Kenney.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother James in 1979
