Pearl L. Bolinsky, age 84, 42 Avon Ave., Bloomsburg, died at 8:28 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2014, in Balanced Care at Bloomsburg Health Care Facility, where she was a patient for five days. She had been in failing health since January.
Born in Main Township, Columbia County, on Oct. 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Norman Sr. and Cordelia (Probst) Breisch. She had resided in the Sunken Heights area of Bloomsburg for 66 years.
In earlier years, Pearl was employed as a waitress at the former Leiby's Restaurant, and also worked at the former R&G Silk Mill, both of Bloomsburg.
Pearl was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Phillies and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. Bolinsky, on March 16, 1998; a granddaughter, Sherry Lynn Keszkowski; two brothers: Robert Breisch and Duane Breisch; and a sister, Helen Yutko.
Surviving are four children: Bonnie L., wife of John Keszkowski, David A. "Butch" Bolinsky, wife Christine; Walter A. "Bo" Bolinsky, wife Victoria, Barry L. Bolinsky, wife Wendy, all of Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four siblings: Norman Breisch Jr., wife Ronnie, South Carolina; Kenneth Breisch, New Castle, Del.; James Breisch, wife, Nancy, Bloomsburg; and Linda, wife of Thomas Kesler, Berwick.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
