Adaline Breese was born abt 1814 in New York. She is possibly the twin of Angeline Breese, who was born on May 28, 1813. There are females the right ages to be Angeline & Adaline age 7, 17 and 27 in the household of Samuel Breese on the 1820, 1830 & 1840 Elmira, Tioga (Chemung in 1840), New York. Adaline was married to Moses A. Arnold on February 25, 1846 in Kane Co., Illinois. Adaline Breese Arnold died on September 30, 1846 in Kane Co., Illinois. She was age 32 years, 1 month at her death, and she had been married for 7 months. She is buried in West Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Kane, Illinois. There are no known children for Angeline and Moses. After her death, Moses A. Arnold was married second to Adelia B. Brown on September 8, 1847, and they had 3 children.

Stone is in 2 pieces; bottom half is still upright, top was turned face in and set in front of bottom piece. Appears to be at south end of lot - stone for Henry H. Arnold (died 1854, age 6 or _6 years) appears to be at north end of lot.

Lot on cemetery map is marked M. Arnold.

Sales book shows lot 36 sold to M. Arnold on May 6, 1863; no price listed.
