90 of Jasper
Vernus Breedlove, 90, of Jasper, died Sunday, Sept. 7 (2008) at Harrison.
She was born April 27, 1918 at Parthenon, the daughter of James Oscar and Iva (Casey)
Plumlee. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and was a member of Lone Beech
United Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulet Breedlove; a daughter, Doris Watson;
an infant daughter; two step-daughters, Eddine Hudson and Kathleen Cummins;
three-grandchildren; two sisters, Laverne White and Bertie Henderson and a brother,
Verlus Plumlee.
Survivors are her two sons, two step-sons, four daughters, two brothers, 22
grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 10, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Bobby
Young and Garland Brasel officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery at
Parthenon. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
