Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Breeding Walker, 75 years of age, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Lyon Funeral Home with Paul Bohrer, minister, and Rev. Oscar T. Nichols in charge. Burial was in the Columbia City Cemetery. Mrs. Walker, a well known resident of 106 Columbia Court, died at the Metzmeier Nursing Home Thursday, September 5, where she had been since suffering several strokes. A native of the Milltown section of Green County, the daughter of the late Joseph H. Thomas and Mrs. Patra Squires Thomas, was first married to Cassius Breeding, a well known resident and Main Street property holder, who died in 1937. Her second marriage was to Sam Bailey, who died about 1956, after which she was married to W. A. Walker. Surviving Mrs. Walker are two sons, Sam Breeding and Billy Joe Breeding, Campbellsville, and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves two brothers, Noel Thomas, Middletown, Ohio, and Irvin Thomas, Houston, Texas. The pallbearers were Clifton Furkin, James Montgomery, Carter Lee Burress, Walter Harden, Irvin Massie and Ruby Cave.
