Warren Johnson "Jay" Breckenridge Sr., 74, of Charleston went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at the Hubbard House after a courageous battle with cancer.

Warren was educated through the Kanawha County school system and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a retired electrician from Union Carbide with 25 years of service, previously worked with the city of Charleston for 12 years, and was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church.

Jay was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He never met a stranger and was well respected and loved in the community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laura Bell Breckenridge; his son, Curtis; his brother, Ernest; and sister, Louise. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Carolyn.
