Stella B. Becker, 80, Rt. 1, died Oct. 10 in Franklin Grove Health Care Center following a short illness. She was employed by the Illinois Bell Telephone Company in LaGrange for 28 years before rtiring and moving to Byron in 1953. She then worked at Decker Drug Store in Oregon.
She was born Sept. 5, 1901, in Byron, to Frank and Sophia (Tuin) Brayton. She was married to Fred W. Becker Aug. 16, 1927, in Oregon. He preceded her in death May 6, 1976.
She was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church and a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Oregon.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include a brother, Fred Brayton of Truth of Consequences, N.M.; and a sister, Alma Christian of Mesa, Ariz.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Farrell-Holland Funeral Home, Oregon, with the Rev. Kenneth Cordes, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from 7-8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
