Birth: Sep. 14, 1836
Death: Feb. 21, 1921

Octavius Bray was born 1836 in Wales. His family came to America when he was five on the Barque Baron, arriving in New York harbor 5 May 1842. He worked with his Father and siblings on the B&O railroad line along the Cumberland Road between Maryland and Wheeling, WV. Octavius served as a Quarter Master Sgt. in the Civil War, 4th West Virginia Cavalry, Company A. He married Amelia Harris in Wheeling WV 15 Dec 1856. They had nine children. Amelia died when many of the children were still young, and most of the children were raised by other family members. Octavius ended up living in Pittsburgh, PA and married again, but it did not last. He then ended up living with one of his daughters and died in Pittsburgh 1921.
