Edmond was living in Hinds, MS when he entered the service and was a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.

He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on October 3, 1951.

Private First Class Braxton was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Edmond is a cousin and he so freely gave his life, for my and others, freedom. Thank you Edmond, and I know that you are resting in the hands of God, and now you are at peace.Thank you!!!!!!
