Randy was the second child of five and the oldest boy. My sister always felt she probably picked on him too much when they were youngsters. I heard they always fought. He dairy farmed all of his life, worked very hard, took few vacations, if any. When he finally retired from the daily grind of milking twice a day, he built his first home in a beautiful wooded setting close to the Wisconsin border, big enough for holidays to accommodate all of his children and grandchildren. Being a farmer not used to sitting around, he took a part time job with a sale barn that specialized in farm animals. He seemed truly happy and content.
