LAGUNA WOODS, Calif. - Bob E. Brashears, 81, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo with Monsignor Harold Waldow as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St., in Amarillo.
Mr. Brashears was born May 15, 1927, in Amarillo and retired as controller from Texaco Refinery in Amarillo after 35 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Tascosa Country Club.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Lee Brashears; three sons, Greg Brashears of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Doug Brashears of Austin, Texas, and Chris Brashears of Houston; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
