Dovie Young graduated from Rose Crox School of Nursing in Ardmore, Oklahoma in January 1926. She nursed the first surgical case ever performed in the new Graham General Hospital. Dovie worked at the privately owned hospital on Virginia Street before the Graham General Hospital was built.
