J.R. BRANNON - Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock for J.R. Brannon, 74, who died at his home, 426 Magnolia Street, yesterday morning after a long illness.

This services will be conducted by the Rev. W.Y. Henderson, pastor of the Campobello Baptist church assisted by the Rev. J.S. Cobb, pastor of the Green Street Baptist church. Interment will follow in the Arrowwood churchyard near Chesnee.

The following grandsons will serve as active pallbearers: Broadus Brannon, Raymond Stone, Troy Henderson, Paul Groce, John Walden and Andy Bates.

The following as honorary pallbearers: Dr. H.W. Koopman, Dr. A.D. Cudd, Sam Wilson, R.H. Ferguson, M.B. Ezell, J.M. Dye, C.P. Matthews, Robert Sitton, Claude Potter, J.M. Griner, O.V. Turner, and Mr. Kines.

Mr. Brannon is survived by his widow, Mrs. Corrie Brannon; two sons, W.C. Brannon of Clifton, P.O. Brannon of Cleveland, OH; one stepson, C.B. Henderson of Greer; four daughters, Mrs. J.L. Bagwell, Mrs. J.S. Stone, Mrs. W.F. West, and Mrs. P.E. Collier, all of Spartanburg; one sister, Mrs. Rhodie Fowler of Spartanburg.

Also by 34 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
