COOPERS MILLS -- Clara E. Follett Brann, 93, of Rockland Road passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Country Manor Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She had lived for the past several years with her daughter, Belva York.
She was born April 14, 1912, in New Sharon, a daughter of the late Ernest and Belle (Russell) Follett.
Mrs. Brann was a graduate of New Sharon High School and Plymouth Business School in Portsmouth, N.H. She married Clifford Warren Brann on Feb. 1, 1932.
She worked at the former Howe Fur Co. and the Country Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Brann was a member of the Windsor Memorial Baptist Church in Windsor and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens in Coopers Mills.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband as well as a two sons, Warren G. Brann in 2000 and Ernest P. Brann in 2004; a brother, George B. Follett, in 1997; a great-granddaughter, Tanya Lynn Casey; and a great-grandson, Owen M. York.
Mrs. Brann is survived by two daughters, Beverly Russell and her husband, Joseph, of Augusta and Belva York and her husband, Cassius, of Coopers Mills; a sister, Carrie Harnden of Wilton; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Plummer Funeral Home, Windsor Chapel, 983 Ridge Road (Route 32), Windsor, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Brann's cousin, the Rev. John Tolman, officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date in the family lot in Highland Cemetery, Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Memorial Baptist Church, Windsor 04363.
