Mrs. Branch was born on Aug. 13, 1926, in Bertie County, to the late Joseph Ward and Linda Burton Ward.
She was retired from Impact Furniture.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Raleigh Floyd Harrison of Morganton, Teresa Conner of Drexel, Larry Wayne Vaughn of South Carolina, Robert Earl Vaughn of Morganton, Jenny Hughes of Morganton, Mary Bollinger of Morganton and Allen Vaughn of Morganton; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese. Officiating will be the Rev. Yvonda Gragg and Ray Gragg.
Entombment will follow at Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum.
