Ollie Jordan Branch Armstrong, age 93, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Winnfield Medical Center. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Johnny J. and Elsie (Tippens) Jordan, born February 19, 1914.
Mrs. Armstrong was also preceded in death by husbands Alon Branch and M.E. Armstrong, sons Donald and Garland Branch, grandson Tommy Branch.
She is survived by
One Daughter, Shirley and husband Weyman Brantley of Winnfield, La.;
Daughter-in-law, Grace Branch of Palmdale, California;
Four Grandchildren, Kim Brantley of Winnfield, La., Billie Bellas, Dennis Branch, and Barbara Branch of Connecticut
Funeral services were held at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2007 with Rev. Rayford Higgs officiating, interment following at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Hwy 34 North, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Pallbearers were William G. Kelley, Eugene Leeper, Julius Mercer, James Williams, Jason Williams, and James Ingles.
