Charles E. Branam, 83, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Charles was born on November 9, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky, and was the son of Nettie Branam.
He started his career with Monon Railroad and spent 43 years working as an agent for various railroad companies. He attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his daughter, Judy Branam of Indianapolis; son, Charles E. Branam II of Bloomington; two granddaughters, Mindy Elissa Resener and Kristina Beth Parmelee, both of Indianapolis; and three great-grandchildren, Justin Parmelee, Mallory Resener and Meredith Resener.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife of 61 years, Anna M. Branam; and one brother, Donald Branam.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 1st, at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington, with Rev. John Branam officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at The Funeral Chapel.
