Mrs. Elva R. Bramstedt, 87, formerly of Howard Grove, died Thursday noon at Valley Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, where she had been a patient the past four years.

The former Elva Mahler was born Sept. 7, 1895 in the town of Sheboygan Falls, a daughter of August and Wilhelmina Kohl Mahler.
She attended the district school.

On Jan. 30, 1917, she married Elmer Bramsteadt, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Howards Grove.

The couple resided in the town of Herman after their marriage and moved to Howards Grove in 1943. Mr. Bramsteadt died Jan. 16, 1974. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, and a charter member of its Ladies Aid Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. E. W. (Irene) Suhrke of Plymouth and Mrs. Harley (Vernita) Feldmann of the town of Rhine; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, the Rev. Darrel L. Bergelin, pastor, officiated. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
