Marie Berta Brammann was born April 4, 1927 in Tecumseh, Nebraska to Nicholas "Nick" and Maria (Richter) Brammann. She was baptized at St John's Lutheran Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1947. Marie was a certified Red Cross swim instructor and ran the Tecumseh pool for many years. She qualified for the Olympic swim team, but her parents chose for her not to participate. She worked for many years at the Campbell Soup Company in Fremont before moving back to Tecumseh in the late 1960's. She was 83 years old at time of death, and preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
