Claude, known to the family as Linsley, is the son of Frank and Elizabeth Smith Bramble. He married Ella Gilbert in 1902 and after her death in 1928 married to Gladys Mae Shepard, the daughter of George Powers Shepard (1864-1941) and Caroline Smith (1873-1925).
Gladys had married and divorced Paul James Spike (1895-1977)with one daughter Marjorie Elizabeth Spike (1926-2014).
