Alanson W. Bramble often went by Lanson and he is a probable son of Silas Bramble and his unknown first wife, born about 1819 in Lyme, Connecticut.
Lanson W. Bramble enlisted as a Private on 5 November 1862 in Co. C, 26th Regiment of Connecticut Volunteers and was mustered in on November 10, 1862; he was a resident of East Haddam. On August 17, 1863, he was mustered out in Norwich, Connecticut. Lanson W. Bramble, alias Alanson Bramble applied for an invalid pension on 8 April 1876, application No.: 217,071; the pension was awarded under Certificate No. 143.100.
Alanson W. Bramble married (1) Laura (Field) Huntley in Lyme, CT, June 21, 1842; (2) Lucretia Miner in Lyme, July 27, 1861; (3) Lucina (Rogers) Wilson September 12 1885 in Marlborough, CT; (4) Lucina (Wilson) Coleman Weeks February 23, 1895. The March 21, 1877 East Lyme, CT birth record of a male bramble lists Alanson W. Bramble, 68, as the father and Eliza Eldridge, 22 as the mother.
Alanson W. Bramble died on January 7, 1904 at the Fitch Soldiers Home in Noroton, CT.
