Cora E. Bloodsworth
Cora E. Bloodsworth, widow of Andrew J. Bloodsworth, of Crocheron, passed away early Friday morning at her home where she had been ill for the pasted two days. Her condition had been critical since Saturday.
Mrs. Bloodsworth, who was born and had lived practically her entire life in Crocheron, was the daughter of Allison and Amanda Johnson Bramble. She was 90 years, 1 month, and 15 days of age.
In 1890 she married Mr. Andrew J. Bloodsworth, also of Crocheron, who died in 1926.
She was a life long member of Bethany Methodist Church of Crocheron and was regular in her attendance. From 1941 to 1948 she made her home in Cambridge.
She is survived by one daughter: Mrs. John Elliott Sr. of Crocheron. A son, Noble A. Bloodsworth, died in 1950. Other survivors include, a step-daughter, Mrs. Christopher Moore of Bishops Head, a step-son, Robert Bloodsworth of Crocheron, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Ruark of Bishops Head, and Mrs. Lula Robinson of Cambridge, nine grandchildren, six step grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from LeCompte Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. William Kohl officiating. Interment will be in the Dorchester Memorial Park
