Sergeant Bluff - Edwin "Eddie" E. Bramble, 81, of Sergeant Bluff passed away peacefully Wed. 21 June 2006, at Embassy Rehab & Care Center, with his special friends, David & Vicki Simon, by his side.
Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Mon. at Community Methodist Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service Mon. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Eddie was born 13 July 1924, in Sioux City, the son of Edwin & Clara Belle (Raby) Bramble. He graduated from East High School. Eddie opened his first business in 1957, Bluff's Tavern, located at 402-4th St. Eddie created such a successful business that in 1964, he purchased the original Pioneer Bank building to accommodate his many patrons. His new business was known as Eddie's Lounge.
Eddie was a member of the Masonic Lodge & Abu Bekr Shrine & a charter member of the Sergeant Bluff Lions Club.
Survivors include a sister, Doris & her husband, Willi Schroeder of Salix, Iowa; nieces, nephews, & many other close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara, his father, Edwin, & brother, Wayne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Siouxland Human Society.
