BERFIELD , Shirley Jean (Brady)
passed away on October 1, 2008 at the age of 79. Shirley was born in Carbonado,
Washington on July 14, 1929 to Jack N. and Ida (Mosio) Brady. She lived in Washington
until 1955 when she ventured to Anchorage, Alaska staying there until 1979 when she moved
to Black Diamond, Washington to care for her father. Upon his death, she moved to Tucson,
Arizona in 1991 where she resided until her death. Shirley was active in the Eagles Club
in Black Diamond, she loved all handwork, gardening, spending time with her family and
friends on the phone and as they traveled to see her and those family members that live
in the Tucson area. Shirley was survived by her brother, Everett Brady, Renton,
Washington; daughters, Linda (Steve) Kaminski, Tucson, Arizona, Marian (Harold) Myers,
Thief River Falls, Minnesota; son, Charles (Judy) Gordon, Potts Camp, Mississippi and
four grandchildren, Stephanie (Zachary) Scallate, Tucson, Arizona, Kimberly (Lee) Hamre,
Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Peter (Hien) Sorenson, Tucson, Arizona, Allison (Vince)
Miramontes II, Thief River Falls, Minnesota and five greatgrandchildren, Gianni Scallate,
Alessio Scallate, Bell Hamre, Vince Miramontes III, Peter Sorenson. Her final internment
will be at Silverton Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
