Genevieve "Jet" Louise (Rising) Brady, 94, of Glen Campbell, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at her home.

A daughter of John W. and Edna E. (Brickell) Rising, she was born on Feb. 23, 1924, in Indiana, Pa. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

For 10 years, Jet was employed as a secretary at IUP.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, knitting, quilting and making crafts. Known for her beautiful sewing and crafting techniques, she participated in local craft fairs, where she developed her own loyal fan base.

On April 10, 1943, Jet wed James Robert Brady, Sr., and they shared 46 years of marriage.

Surviving are her four children: Susan White (Mac) of Radcliff, Kentucky, Jo Ann "Sis" Fetterman (Sam) of R.D. Rossiter, Carole Smyers and Doug Jusko of Clymer, and James R. Brady, Jr. (Denise) of R.D. Cherry Tree; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Brady, Sr., on Dec. 24, 1989; brother Floyd Rising; sisters Josephine Lambert, Geraldine Kosker and Dorothy Shubra; and her grandson, Roger Runyon, Jr.

At Jet's request, all her arrangements were private, including a funeral service officiated by Pastor Raymond Hill.

Interment was at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Urey.
Arrangements were with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale.
