William Lawson Bradshaw was born August 26, 1918 in Northumberland County, Virginia, the son of John Severn and Lula Blanche (Dameron) Bradshaw.

He married March 5, 1940 in Warsaw, Richmond County, Virginia, to Lena Maria Smith born January 22, 1917.

There were three children, Wesley Lawson Bradshaw, Charles Wilbur Bradshaw and Gloria Bradshaw-Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Smith Bradshaw; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria B. Williams, Chester, PA., two sons, Wesley L. Bradshaw, Dover, Del.; C. Wilbur Bradshaw, Callao; four sisters, Mrs. Lewis Thrift, Oldhams, Mrs. Leonard Swann, Heathsville, Mrs. James Clark, Richmond, Mrs. Robert English, Dahlgren, and one brother, John M. Bradshaw, Newport News; four grandchildren.
Services were held at Jones-Ash Funeral Home, Rainswood, on March 16, 1974, with interment in Totuskey Baptist Church Cemetery, Haynesville, Virginia. He was a member of Chester Baptist Church, Chester, PA. and a welder amd maintenance man. The Rev. L. Robert Fleming officiated. Pallbearers were Louis Middleton, Grayson Dameron, Robert Thrift, Jeffery Smith, Earl Stephens and Laverne Jewell.
