Mrs Florence Blunk, 87 years old native of Crown Center, died Thursday evening at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs Clarence Sims, at Monrovia. She had been at the Sims home for the past eight weeks and had been sericously ill the last week.
She was born Dec. 1, 1872, the daughter of Tilman and Lydia o'Dell Bradley, and was married on Aug. 19, 1896, to Jasper T. Blunk, who died Apr. 17, 1938.
Mrs Blunk had spent her entire life in Morgan County and was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church.
Survivors beside the daughter, Mrs. Sims, are a son Bruce in Monrovia, and a grandson, Raymond Dale Blunk, a teacher in the schools here; a granddaughter, Mrs. Frank Kirn of Lafayette; and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister, Henry and Robert Bradley of Stilesville; William Bradley of Logansport; and Mrs. Isa Chambers of Stilesville, also survive. A son, the late Raymond E. Blunk, had served as county superintendent of schools here before his death in 1930. A daughter in law, Mrs. Ida Blunk, is a teacher in the Martinsville schools.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Harvey Funeral Home in Mooresville with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Hall.
The Rev. William Hughey of Franklin and the Rev. paul McReynolds of Monrovia will be in charge of the services. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 this evening
