BRADLEY – Dorothy Rose "Dottie," 95, longtime resident of South Louisville, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Eastern Star Home. She was the former Dorothy Kummer, a graduate of the Old Louisville Girls High School class of 1934-1/2, the first employee/secretary of Sterling G. Thompson Insurance Co. in 1937. A Baptist by her faith, fulltime homemaker, devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt, a faithful Christian, selfless, generous, loving and courageous. She loved cooking for her family, gardening and homemaking. Always a positive outlook, never complaining. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Emma (Gutman) Kummer, husband of over 43 years , Shirley D. Bradley, and sisters, Helen Steier, Marian Raderer and Charlotte Kennedy. She was the beloved mother of daughter, Diane P. Bradley and son, David B. Bradley. Other survivors include brothers, Marvin. A. (Virginia), Kermit L. (Wilma), Rev. Gerald F. (Rita) Kummer and several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Nunnelley Funeral Home 4327 Taylor Blvd with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
