Death of Frank Bradley
Widely Known Shawnee County Land Owner Is Dead
Frank P. Bradley, 70, a former large land owner of Shawnee county, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital. His residence was at 1217 Western avenue. Mr. Bradley was a member of a syndicate that several years ago purchased the Swinburne ranch in Shawnee, Jackson and Pottawatomie counties. At one time he was the owner of about 2,500 acres of land near Grove.
He has been a resident of Topeka for eighteen years, coming from Council Bluffs, Ia. He was a charter member of the Topeka Country club and Elks' lodge. Mr. Bradley was also prominent in politics while in Iowa.
There are six survivors: his widow; two sons, Judge C.C. Bradley, LeMars, Ia., and Darwin Bradley, Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Estee, Aurora, Ill.; Julia Wright, Houghton, Mich., and a brother, C.H. Bradley, Edmonton, Canada.
Funeral services will be held at 2;30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the residence, 1217 Western avenue. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
