Annie (Bradford) Bowers was born about 1874 in Dickson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Johnson "John" Bradford and Susie (Bailey) Bradford.

She was married 1st about 1891 in Dickson County to John Durham. She was married 2nd sometime between the 1910 census and 1920 census as the 2nd wife of Reed Wilson Bowers (1856–1938). {Reed had been married 1st in 1874 to Samuella "Sammie" Dority (1854–1936), and they were divorced sometime before the 1920 census. At the time of the 1900 census, Sammie had had 9 children, 4 of them living at that time.}

The widow of Reed Bowers, Annie was about 66 years old when she passed away on October 24, 1940 in Clarksville. Burial was the next day in City [and that would be Riverview] Cemetery.
