Gladys Evelyn Bower, 84, of Yale, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at Port Huron Hospital.
She was born February 6, 1925, in Decatur, Alabama, the daughter of the late Emmett and Polly Ann Sprinkles Bradford.
Gladys moved to New Baltimore, Michigan in 1945. and attended Wesleyan Church when able.
Gladys loved animals and would adopt them all if she could.
She liked shopping, the outdoors, and especially visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony (Sue) Davis of Bay Minette, AL, Eugene (Carol) Bower of New Baltimore, Roger (Barbara) Bower of Yale; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Cynthia (Bill) Bower-Todd of Croswell, Linda (Richard) Sindeldecker of St. Clair, Mary (Bill) Johnston of Avoca, and Penny Bower of Croswell; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children, Turner Davis and Sandra Bower; a grandchild, Sabrina Bower; and siblings, Clarence Bradford, Glyness Kulicka, James Bradford, and Grace (Bradford).
Private services will be held and burial will take place in Alabama.
Memorials are suggested to Blue Water Area Humane Society.
