Mrs. Melinda Ann Katherine (West) Bradford, age 59, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on March 30, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of the late, James Sylvester & Irene Una (McClinton) West. She was raised in Rockcastle County, Kentucky & Norwood, Ohio & attended the Regina Catholic High School in Norwood, Ohio. Melinda was united in marriage on February 16, 1985, in Norwood, Ohio, to the late, Gary John Bradford. Melinda & Gary shared 14 years of marriage together until his death on December 15, 1999. Melinda resided in the Vevay Community, since 1990. Melinda will be remembered for being a wonderful homemaker, her love of cooking, cleaning, walking in town, her cats, gardening, flowers, but most of all her dedication to her loving family. Melinda died at 4:45 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Melinda will be missed by her daughters: Rebecca Mattke & her husband: Troy of Vevay, IN, Jodi Cohen & her husband: Matt Beach of Warsaw, KY, Jamie Cohen & her companion: Charles Thee of Vevay, IN, Maggie Mullins of Vevay, IN, Allison Peters & her husband: Allen of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren;Taylor,Gaige,Caeson & Garret her; brothers: Bob West of Deer Park, OH & Michael West of Dillsboro, IN; her sisters: Karen Backus of Rising Sun, IN, Sue West of Greendale, IN, Melissa Butler of Greendale, IN & Shannon Courtney of Moores Hill, IN; her numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Sylvester & Irene Una (McClinton) West; her husband: Gary John Bradford, died December 15, 1999; her grandson: Troy Wallace; her brother: James "Pat" West.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Joe Lamson, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
