Ann B. (Bradford) Ashley, age 79 years, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at home. She was the wife of Jethro O Ashley; they had been married for 52 years. Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Adelaide H. (Churchill) Bradford. She graduated from Middleboro Memorial High School, Class of 1950. She assisted in the operations of the Ashley Funeral Home for many years. She was a member of the Central Congregational Church. She was a member of the Hannah Shaw Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, where she had been the organist for over 40 years. Ann was also a member of the Middleboro Emblem Club, where she had been the organist, and played at the annual installations. She was a member of the Acushnet Grange, for over 50 years, and Sippican Pomona, Massachusetts State Grange, the National Grange. Ann was co-founder of the Southshore Support Group for R.P. She attended the Carroll Institute for the Blind, Newton. She had volunteered at nursing homes for the sing alongs. Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Lisa Ann and her husband Todd Cantalupo, Lori Elizabeth Ashley; two grandchildren, Joseph Michael Carnabuci, Valeri Ashley Azevedo. She was sister of the late James A Bradford. Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held Sunday, Feb. 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro, with a service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro. Flowers or donations in her memory can be made to Ann B.
