ARTHUR D. BRADEN SERVICES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Arthur D. Braden of 2014 N. Church St. will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, with burial in Maroa Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Braden, 74, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday in Decatur and Macon County Hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1892, in Maroa, the son of Frank and Mary Fort Braden. He lived in Decatur 25 years. Mr. Braden was a retired painter and decorator. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Maroa. He married Elva Armsey on Nov. 21, 1914, in Bloomington. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Norma) Hockaday of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. M. J. (Mary Louise) Thomas of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Leonard L. and William E., both of Decatur; four brothers, Samuel of Clinton; George of Maroa; and Newell and Carl, both of Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Otis (Dollie) Reed of Maroa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
