She was born June 10, 1918, in Springfield, to Walter F. and Gladys M. Payne Jordan, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 6, 1964, she married Warren Russell Brackney, who died April 24, 1985.
She was a member of the Lafayette Congregational Christian Church and a former volunteer at Lima Memorial Hospital, with 3,600 hours of service. She was a manager of the Extension Department of the Lima Public Library Bookmobile with 27 years of service upon her retirement in 1980.
Survivors include a son, John (Pat) Mowen, of Lima; three daughters, Carolyn L. (and the late Kermit) Kiracofe, of Lima, Doris "Dodie" Long, of Ada, and Loretta (Skip) Moss, of Lafayette; three brothers, Walter (Janice) Jordan, of Orrville, Hugh (Sally) Jordan, of Piqua, and James (Roxie) Jordan, of Dayton; a sister, Norma McKee, of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Molly (Steve) Coleman, Meg Kiracofe, Tom Kiracofe, Joe Kiracofe, Mark (Carmen) Long, Sherri Cullivan, Janet Bocook, Melissa (Mike Butler) Moening, and Melody (Josh) Waltermire; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Weaver.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lafayette Congregational Christian Church, Lafayette. The Rev. Robert Brown will officiate. Interment will be at Lafayette Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
