Wilkesboro - Mrs. Agnes Fletcher Brackett, age 82, of Fletcher Street, Wilkesboro, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Brackett was born December 18, 1924 to Vergil Belo and Cora Jane Moore Parker. She was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Brackett was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Talmadge D. Fletcher and William "Lonnie" Brackett.
Surviving are one son, Don Fletcher and wife Judy of Moravian Falls; six daughters, Linda Hartness and husband Dale of Moravian Falls, Jane Fletcher Reavis and husband Dean, Patsy Fletcher Knight, Ruth Fletcher Stone all of Wilkesboro, Susan Fletcher Ferguson and husband Michael of Taylorsville, Vickie Fletcher Greene of North Wilkesboro; one step-son, Jerry Brackett and wife Jan of Lenoir; one step-daughter, Martha Brackett of Lincolnton; three brothers, John H. Parker and wife Betty of High Point, The Reverend Jonah A. Parker and wife Helen of Moravian Falls, G.Clayton Parker and wife Catherine of Lexington; two sisters, Hazel Parker Hedrick of Inwood, West Virginia, Hessie Parker Holcomb of Moravian Falls; fifteen grandchildren, Jonathan Fletcher, Daniel Fletcher, Joseph Fletcher, Richie Chapman, Amy Wyatt, Willie Reavis, Waylon Reavis, Anita Price, Eric Ferguson, Joanna Clausen, Aaron Knight, Helen Chandler, Gail Shumate, James Burgess, Phillip Stone; and fifteen great grandchildren, Ethan Chapman, Jacob Chapman, William Reavis Jr., Waylon Reavis Jr., Pandora Reavis, Julia Rose Nerstheimer, Chesney Price, Jarron Price, Fletcher Clausen, Emma Chandler, Andrew Chandler, Julian Shumate, Allison Shumate, Ella Burgess, Connor Burgess.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 o'clock Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at New Hope Baptist Church in Moravian Falls with the Rev. Jonah Parker and the Rev. David Venturini, and Brother Clay Parker officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock Monday night. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Wilkes, 1907 West Park Drive, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
