MIDVALE-- Our beloved mother, Doris Emma Butler Boynton, passed away March 12, 1994 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 2, 1914 in Salt Lake City to Joseph Herbert Butler and Mabel Elizabeth Nichols. She married George Walton Boynton November 14, 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her husband preceded her in death August 3, 1963. She lived in Sandy with her family for many years and spent her alter years in Midvale. She made her family her central focus in her life, being a favorite of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, establishing many family traditions for birthdays, Christmas and others holidays. We cherish her beautiful crocheted afghans.

Survived by her children, Charles Boynton, wife Marge; Leo Boynton, wife Elaine; MarJean, husband Ken Kanady; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mabel Smith, Alfred Butler, Howard Butler, Gladys Arnesen, Ray Butler, and Ralph Butler. Preceded in death by parents; one brother, LeRoy Butler.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Saundra Buys and Crystal Walker and the staff at the University of Utah Hospital. They were her biggest fan club during her illness. The family also wishes to thank Community Nursing Service who assisted her and her family in the last few days.
