Ann Ruth Boylston, age 92 years, 11 months and 16 days, passed away August 11, 1975 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home in Hebron. She was born on Sept. 25, 1882 at Preston, Nebr., and was the daughter of James and Honora Reilly Eatough. She graduated from the Chester High School in 1898 and was a graduate of the United of Nebraska in 1905.
On Nov. 11, 1913 she married Edward M. Boylston at St. Francis DeSailes Church in Lincoln, Nebr. They moved to Teapot Dome, Wyo., where Mr. Boylston was employed. In 1924 they moved to Chester, Nebr., and then in 1961 they moved to Hebron, Nebr.
Mrs. Boylston was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Sacred Heart Altar Society, the Chester Womans Club, Nebraska Alumni Association, and was a patron and strong supporter of the Thayer County Community Theatre Association.
She is survived by two sons, Edward M., Jr., of Tucson, Ariz., and Richard D. Boylston of Hebron; two daughters, Mrs. George (Mary) Mehuron of Ralston, and Sister Ruth Ann Heany of Columbia, Mo.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M., on Nov. 14, 1961 and one son, John, in 1966; her parents; one brother and three sisters.
Rosary service was held Tuesday, Aug. 12, 1975, 8:00 p.m. at the Montgomery-Hacker Funeral Home in Hebron, and Resurrection Mass was Wed., Aug. 13, 1975 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Msgr. Wm. Rezabek and Father James Eatough, S.J., officiated at both services. Interment was at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Hebron. Pall bearers were Martin Schlife, Raymond Wiedel, Jack Stewart, Kenneth Adamson, Jack Chapman, John Levendofsky.
