LAYTON – Arlene Bertha Painter Boyle, 90, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 of causes incident to age.

She was born October 13, 1920 in Ogden, Utah, to William Wyatt and Elizabeth Mae Holdren Painter. She married Ray McClaren Boyle Jr. on February 14, 1942 in Ogden. He passed away in 1970.

Arlene was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society. She was a member of the Weber Club and enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was employed for 33 years as credit collections manager for Boyle Furniture.

She is survived by sons, Ray M. Boyle III, of Hooper, and Robert L. Boyle, of Layton; and stepdaughter, Diane Hinkley, of Leesburg, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters.

At Arlene's request, a brief graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to express appreciation to Rachael, Bonnie, Julie, Jessie and Deanna of Applegate Hospice and the staff of Apple Village.
