Daughter Of Last Kiowa Chief Dies; Services Sunday
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Creek Methodist church for Mrs. Olive Pahkogoombi Boyiddle, who passed away Thursday night in the Indian hospital at Lawton.
She was the daughter of the late Chief Ahpeahton, last tribal chief of the Kiowas.
Olive was born July 1, 1882. She attended school at the Oil Rainy Mountain Indian school and at St. Patrick's Mission near Anadarko. She was married in 1899 to Pickler Boyiddle. Three children were born to them, none of whom survive.
At the time of her death she was a member of the Cedar Creek church, also of the Carnegie Victory club.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Hicks Boyiddle, Carnegie; two brothers, Edgar of Hobart, and Lon of Carnegie; 11 nephews and eight nieces and other relatives.
Pitcher Funeral Home was in charge and interment was in the Rainy Mountain cemetery.
