Richard Lee Boyers, 59, of 242 N Mason St, Harrisonburg VA, died Friday, Dec. 19, 1997, in the emergency room at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 25, 1938, in Harrisonburg, and was the son of Beatrice Leona Boyers of Harrisonburg.
Mr Boyers was a lifetime resident of the area and graduated from Harrisonburg High School. He was in the restaurant business and had operated the Snack Factory at Valley Mall, had worked at the Tastee-Freez in New Market, and the Chuckwagon (of Harrisonburg as route supervisor). He was a member of Divine Love Fellowship.
In July, 1997, he married Gloria J Groff, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are three sons, Anthony Boyers, Lancaster, PA, and Jon Boyers and Mark Boyers, both of Harrisonburg; one daughter, Lisa Godshall, Mt Crawford; and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Divine Love Fellowship Church. Pastor Ted Hott and the Rev. Larry M Hensley will officiate. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

Richard was also married to Judith Miller Boyers,(1961-1993) three children from this union- Jon Randall Boyers, Melissa Lynn "Lisa" Boyers Godshall and Mark Alan Boyers.

William Burnett Frank Jr., 50, a retired major and flying officer of the Air Force, died Thursday morning at his home at Rt. 2, Harrisonburg. Cause of death was not available Friday night.
He was born in Hershey, Pa. and was a son of Mrs. Repha I. Craun Frank of Harrisonburg and the late William B. Frank Sr.
Mr. Frank was a graduate of New Hope High School and attended Augusta Military Academy. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He retired from the Air Force July 31, 1964.
He was a member of Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church, the Air Force Aid Society and American Legion Post No. 27.
On March 8, 1951 he married the former Christine Philemon, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are seven children, Phil, Deborah, Terry, Stanley, Timothy, Beth and William B. Frank III, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth E. Rhodes of Harrisonburg and Mrs. George Glorius of Towson, Md., a brother, Stanley C. Frank of Alexandria, and a step-sister, Mrs. Edmund Nussear of Washington, D.C.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. John Crawford III and the Rev. Joseph Sefcik. Burial will be in the Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be George, Winston S., E. Nelson and O.C. Craun Jr., S. R. Bowman II, P. M. Dice, Richard C. Shreckhise and Nelson W. Adams.
