Esther Elizabeth Boyer (1934 - 2011)
Esther Elizabeth Boyer, 77, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011. Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Genesis United Methodist Church, 7635 S. Hulen, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure , Tarrant County Organization, or to Genesis United Methodist Church.
Esther was born Nov. 11, 1934, to Ira and Mildred Benton. After graduating from high school, she started a career as a registered nurse. She married George Boyer on Nov. 5, 1955, and together they started a family. Esther was a truly giving person. She was a loving and caring nurse who devoted her time to taking care of others. Besides being a receptionist at her church, she volunteered at the Angel Tree Project, participated in the Race for the Cure , traveled, and also knitted prayer shawls for fellow church members. Esther was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors: Husband, George Boyer; daughters, Penelope Davis and husband, Russell, and Janet Boyer; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Morrin and Jonathon Matthew Morrin; sisters, Rebecca Bean and husband, Gerald, Miriam Zimmerman and husband, Austin, and Eunice Benton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
