Wayland M. Boyer, 89, of Arkansas City died Sunday, January 6, 2001 at his residence.
Cremation has been effected. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Wayland was born July 21, 1912 in Goldtree, OK. He married Leila L. Lewter in Missouri. Wayland owned and operated Boyer Liquor Store in Arkansas City. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, the American Legion and the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife, Leila Boyer of the home; step-son, Roland Keith Pittman of Port Gamble, WA; step-daughter, Peggy Lee Frank of Oklahoma City, OK; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayland was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters.
